Quinn asks state police to review racial profiling allegations

Governor Pat Quinn is asking the head of the Illinois State Police to review allegations of racial profiling during traffic stops.

This comes a week after the American Civil Liberties Union filed a complaint claiming troopers search the cars of black and Hispanic drivers more frequently than those of white drivers.

The state police deny any bias.

The department says it searches minority drivers less often than local police.
