Competitor Group Inc. (CGI) put on the inaugural Rock 'n' Roll Chicago 5K Sunday, June 19.
Of course, ABC7's resident runner John Garcia was part of the action, and he caught up with one of the organizers for an interview.
The race featured music along the course and a finish-line concert. There was also food and drinks. The course started and ended in Lincoln Park at Montrose Harbor Beach.
