Want to sleep like a baby? Try a hammock

The study in the journal Current Biology finds the gentle rocking of a hammock can also improve your quality of sleep.

Rocking reportedly works by lengthening the duration of a certain stage of sleep that accounts for about half of a good night's sleep.

The rocking is also said to promote brain activity associated with deep sleep and even benefit memory.

It is hoped this finding can help in the treatment of sleep disorders including insomnia.
