Two Indiana troopers saved a man who was choking at a restaurant in Griffith.

Troopers Dan Avitia and Ricky Rayner heard a woman screaming that her son was choking so they came to the rescue. Rayner performed the Heimlich on Daniel Mulholland, 55, of Wyoming, who was unresponsive. Mulholland began breathing again after the piece of food was dislodged from his throat.

Mulholland refused further treatment.
