The boys basketball coach for Crete-Monee High School has been fired weeks after he was accused of molesting a male student.

A school district spokesperson says the board voted last night to fire Matthew Ryndak effective immediately.

Ryndak was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse in May.

Authorities say the 30-year-old inappropriately touched a boy over the course of four months in 2010. Ryndak could be sentenced to seven years in prison.
