A $2,500 reward is being offered for information in the theft of air conditioners at a Chicago animal shelter last week.

Thieves took two air conditioning units and copper piping from the roof of the Animal Welfare League on South Wabash. More than 100 animals are cared for at the facility. Portable air conditioners are in place now.

The United States Humane Society is offering the reward. It is also donating $2,500 to help replace the stolen units.
