Four men allegedly responsible for an auto theft ring on the West Side have been charged after a four-month long investigation dubbed Operation Pay Back.

Chicago police released surveillance video showing the thefts in progress. Police say the thieves used various methods to steal newer model and luxury vehicles.

The vehicles were then moved to a "chop shop" in the 4200-block of West Cermak Road, where various parts and components were removed and sold. The stripped-down vehicles were then towed away and sold for scrap.

Theo Poole, Tiresias Young, Justin Abraham and James Safford are all facing felony counts.
