Awardees include Claretian Associates, Institute of Cultural Affairs and Lakeside Community Development Corporation. Further awards are expected by September.

Joel Africk, president and chief executive officer of the Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago, and Angela Hurlock, executive director at Claretian Associates, Inc. joined us in our ABC7 studio to talk about the project.

The Piloting and Promoting Smoke-free Homes initiative is an effort to create more smoke-free multi-unit properties in Chicago as part of the project's overall effort to reduce smoking rates and exposure to secondhand smoke.
