Police dog sniffs out opium shipment near O'Hare

July 14, 2011 (CHICAGO)

The dog named Rogue was working with customs agents at the international mail facility when he discovered the drug. It was in a shipment of 16 embroidered jackets from Laos that was headed for Minnesota.

Officers who x-rayed the jackets did not find the drugs hidden in the lining or secret compartments. Instead, a test revealed that the jackets were soaked in liquid opium.

So far no one has been charged in the case.
