The Northbrook-based company is raising insurance rates for homeowners by as much as 9 percent in Illinois.
As of July 11, the rates of many current Allstate customers went up about 3 percent.
However, Allstate customers who became policy holders after March 23, 2009, will have their premiums increase 9 percent.
