Rainbow PUSH honors Rev. Jesse Jackson

July 16, 2011 (CHICAGO)

The Rainbow PUSH coalition honored its founder during the Saturday Morning Forum.

On July 17th, 1960, Jackson was arrested with seven other classmates for trying to integrate a public library in South Carolina.

Another major moment for Jackson occurred in 1984 when he spoke at the Democratic National Convention.

Saturday's participants recalled the significance of that moment as well.
