Hot weather overnight created challenging conditions for firefighters on Chicago's South Side.

A fire broke out at a house near 75th Street and May early Monday. Flames were seen shooting through the roof.

At least one firefighter was overcome by the heat and had to lie down on the ground nearby. Fellow firefighters cooled him off with towels soaked in water.

There were no reports of serious to firefighters or anyone inside of the house.
