Make ice cream at home

July 22, 2011 (CHICAGO)

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month, and with all the hot weather we've been experiencing, it's the perfect time to indulge in your favorite flavors.

Technology has come a long way to help the home cook make ice cream at home. Now, with an automatic ice cream maker, all you have to do is dump your favorite ingredients and let it spin. Shaun Paul, from Bobtail Homemade Ice Cream, www.bobtailicecream.com, is sharing recipes for two of the company's featured flavors and demonstrating how easy ice cream can be to make at home.
