Twenty-four-year-old Miguel Salas and 25-year-old Juan Martinez face aggravated battery charges.
Police say both suspects were riding in a taxi in Mount Prospect last Saturday night when Salas demanded money from the driver.
Police say both suspects began beating the cabbie, who called 911.
Salas and Martinez ran away but were caught by police.
