Suspect in Walgreens stabbing held on $3M bond

A man accused of stabbing three people inside a South Side Walgreens early Tuesday is now being held on $3 million bond.

Police charged Daniel Lopez, 21, with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of aggravated battery, following the drug store attack in the 5500-block of South Kedzie.

A 66-year-old female customer, the store manager and another female employee were stabbed. That woman underwent surgery for critical stab wounds.
