A Chicago man and his son were among those who survived rip currents in the waters off a popular Michigan beach.

At least 28 people were rescued by emergency crews at Holland State Park Wednesday. No one suffered serious injuries.

But Chicagoans Joseph Murphy and his 15-year-old son Aiden were thrown against rocks along the pier and suffered cuts and bruises.
