AT&T is increasing security to customer voice messages.

It follows security concerns following recent phone hacking incidents in Great Britain.

AT&T says new phones will automatically have a password as the default setting for its cell phone voice mailboxes.

Beginning next year, existing customers who upgrade their phones will also have the default setting.

Currently, AT&T customers can access their voice messages without entering a password.
