The City of Chicago has hired a company to try and help the city save money.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel says the consulting firm called Accenture will examine $500 million in city contracts.

He says he hopes the move will save the city $25 million by 2013.

The mayor says the company has done similar jobs for other cities and saved them millions of dollars.
