The Chicago Fire Department tells ABC7 the blaze was on the roof of a three-story, townhouse-type building in the 5700-block of North Sheridan Road.
The fire was adjacent to a high-rise building. The side of that high-rise was scorched.
A fire alarm was pulled for the high-rise, too, as residents of that building were concerned about the fire spreading.
The Chicago Fire Department did a bottom to top search of the high-rise to insure everyone was ok.
There are no reports of any injuries.
The fire was quickly put out.
