Study: Jogging better for busting belly fat

Do you want to lose that extra dangerous belly fat? Jogging is going to benefit you more than weight lifting.

That's the finding of an eight-month study that compared the effectiveness of aerobic exercise and resistance training. It found aerobic exercise burned 67 percent more calories than weight training.

Scientists reporting in the American Journal of Physiology looked at how exercise programs affect the visceral and liver fat in your inner stomach. That's associated with increased risk of heart disease, diabetes and some types of cancer.
