Illinois National Guard troops sent to New York in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene are being moved to Vermont to help residents there recover from all that flooding.

The troops will join the effort to deliver food, water and medicine to several Vermont towns left isolated by flooding from Irene.

Several towns in the state were hit so hard that roads going in and out of them have been destroyed. In fact, it is the worst flooding in Vermont since 1927.
