A new government report reveals about half of all Americans will suffer from some mental health problem at some point in their life.

The CDC says those mental health issues run the gamut from depression to post traumatic stress disorder to suicide. And many of those suffering do not get help.

Authors say there are "unacceptably high levels of mental illness in the US" and it's an issue that needs to be addressed.

The report goes on to talk about the high cost for care, lost productivity and how there is a need to get rid of the stigma surrounding this problem.
