CHA makes last Cabrini residents relocate due to crime

The Chicago Housing Authority says crime is making some of the last Cabrini Green buildings too dangerous for residents.

So the agency will require the remaining 33 families in what is called the row houses to relocate. The CHA says this portion of the row houses already has a 92-percent vacancy rate and it says there have been a number of recent arrests there for drug trafficking.

The families will get relocation assistance.

The sections of the row houses that have been rehabbed will not be vacated.
