The September 11 Memorial will be unveiled a week from Sunday in New York, and a Chicago man who survived the attack plays a critical role.

Keating Crown was working on the 100th floor of the second tower when the first tower was hit. He immediately started to evacuate the second tower and made it to the 78th floor before the second plane crashed into the building.

"I stress that it's important that we never forget -- and it's important that we never forget across the country and across the world," Crown said.

On ABC7 News at 10 p.m., hear Crown's story of survival, his role with the September 11 Memorial and Museum and the Chicago efforts to remember that day.
