Report: Fewer swimming bans this summer

Beach season is over in Chicago, and data collected this summer shows beaches had fewer swimming bans because of poor water quality.

According to the Chicago Tribune, statistics from agencies testing water quality show swim bans dropped about 25 percent compared with last summer.

Experts attribute the drop to weather patterns and initiatives aimed at lowering bacteria levels.
