Wrigley may show movies if ordinance passes

September 9, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Alderman Tom Tunney introduced an ordinance at Thursday's city council meeting that would allow a first-ever movie night at Wrigley Field.

If approved, the Chicago Sun-Times reports, fans would pay a nominal fee to sit on the field and watch a baseball-themed movie.

A date or movie title hasn't been selected.

Tunney has to get the movie night approved because of an ordinance that only allows outdoor concerts at night.
