Muslims for Life hosts blood drive in Glen Ellyn

September 11, 2011 (GLEN ELLYN, Ill.)

The event was organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Locally, donors were able to give blood at the Baet-ul-Jaamay Mosque in suburban Glen Ellyn.

In addition to saving lives, organizers said the drive would be a good way to honor those who died on Sept. 11, and they say it's a way of upholding the message that Islam values the sanctity of life.
