Chicago schools take presidential fitness challenge

The Presidential Active Lifestyle Award Challenge kicked off Monday at Walsh Elementary School on the city's Southwest Side. It is one of nearly 200 schools participating.

The nationwide program encourages and promotes physical fitness in an effort to combat childhood obesity.

It requires kids ages 6 to 17 to engage in physical activity for 60 minutes five days a week.
