Wheaton North renames commons for soldier

September 15, 2011 (WHEATON, Ill.)

Army Staff Sergeant Robert Miller was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor last year. His parents accepted the medal from president Obama last October.

On Thursday, Wheaton North High School renamed its commons area for the 2002 graduate. Miller died in 2008 during a fire fight in Afghanistan. Despite being wounded, he's credited with saving seven Americans and 15 Afghans.
