On Saturday, September 24, the AFSP is organizing the "Out of the Darkness Community Walk" to raise money for research and education programs.
Steve Moore, whose 19-year-old son Paul Shuman-Moore committed suicide in 2006, joined us in our ABC7 studio to talk about the importance of the walk. Moore work with AFSP includes being co-chair of the Illinois Chapter's Legislative Committee and working with AFSP's SPAN/USA on national legislative matters. Steve is a partner in the law firm of Rowland and Moore LLP, which represents companies providing telecommunications, natural gas and electric service before state and federal regulatory commissions and courts.
