A Chicago businessman convicted of aiding a terrorist group that took credit for the deadly 2008 Mumbai attacks is asking for a new trial.

Attorneys for Tahawwur Rana say he shouldn't have been forced to defend the Mumbai plot and a planned attack in Denmark simultaneously.

Rana is awaiting sentencing.
