The shooting happened Saturday afternoon in Hebron, which is in Porter County, Ind., and the victim died Sunday. He has been identified as Michael Pasternak, Jr., 24.
Pasternak works for a lawn service company and was cutting the grass at a residence near a wooded area when he was shot.
Residents say that it is not uncommon to hear gunshots in the area.
