On Monday, six Chicago public schools will begin a new schedule that features a longer classroom day.

Nash Elementary on the West Side is one of the schools that will give students an extra 90 minutes of instruction.

The schools where teachers disregard their union, and vote for a longer day, are receiving $150,000 from the Chicago Board of Education.

Additionally, each teacher in those schools gets a bonus of $1,250.
