The frantic chase on an interstate was caught on video.
The dog named "Mango" escaped from her family's car and ran across the highway. She almost hopped into an SUV then zipped back out.
Drivers got out of their cars and tried to catch her, but to no avail.
Mango finally responded to the comforting voice of her owner and was brought to safety.
