Dominique Thomas, 14, died early Tuesday after a car crashed into her family's apartment. She was asleep on the couch at the time.
Dominique's brother Lavon was also injured. He was released from the hospital Wednesday.
Police say the driver crashed into the apartment after being shot in the head. The driver remains in the hospita Thursday morning.
Police haven't been able to talk to him yet, and they are still looking for a passenger who was in the car.
