Man charged in CSU college athlete's murder

Jason Shern, 30, faces two counts of murder, four counts of felonious assault and having weapons while under disability. Police say he turned himself him in Ohio, but that he maintains his innocence.

Kordero Hunter, 21, was at a party at a Dayton nightclub with other students from Central State University for a college night promotion. A fight broke out, and police allege Shern shot through a window after being escorted out of the nightclub. Hunter was hit in the abdomen. He died last Friday.

Hunter was one of a couple hundred students from nearby Central State University who went to the club for a college night promotion.

Police say Shern is a known gang member with a extensive arrest record.
