West Side building catches fire

Flames shot into the air on Chicago's West Side early Wednesday after a fire broke out on West Wilcox.

The building, which was two and one-half stories, was vacant when the blaze ignited just after midnight.

Crews were still concerned, however, that flames could spread to adjacent home. So, they asked some neighboring residents to leave their homes as a precaution.

No one was hurt.

There is still no word about the cause of the fire.
