6-year-old dead, teen hurt after struck by car

The teen suffered a broken arm in the incident that happened in the 7000-block of South Loomis Blvd.

The little girl was pronounced dead at a hospital. The Cook County Medical Examiner identified her as Diamond Robinson.

The two were walking to a Halloween party at the time of the accident.

Police say the driver remained at the scene of the accident. Thomas Young, 36, has been cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian, driving too fast for conditions and not having insurance.
