A woman who prosecutors say ran a brothel on Chicago's Southwest Side -- and forced young women into the sex trade -- has pleaded guilty and was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Forty-year-old Rubicela Montero was first investigated when one of the victims called the National Human Trafficking Resource Center.

The victim reported Montero was running a brothel and forcing her and other young girls to prostitute themselves at a home near 31st and Millard.

The Cook County state's attorney worked with the Chicago Police Department on the case.
