Andy Rooney, an award-winning commentator who became one of television's most famous personalities, died Saturday at the age of 92.

On Saturday night, Hall of Fame broadcaster Larry King was among many who praised Rooney here in Chicago. They were attending the Museum of Broadcast Communications Black Tie Gala.

"He was on our show many, many times. He was a wonderful guy, a great guest, great broadcaster, great writer, easy to be around. He was always kind to us," King said.

A highlight was the opening of the National Radio Hall of Fame Gallery.
