Ill. National Guard promotes Tammy Duckworth

The Illinois National Guard promoted Major Tammy Duckworth of Hoffman Estates to lieutenant colonel Saturday.

Duckworth lost both legs during the Iraq war. She is currently running for the redrawn 8th District congressional seat.
