Wayne Bibbs of Blue Island needed his mother's permission to enlist in the Army because he was only 17. He died in a helicopter crash in 1972.
Bibbs' remains and those of two other crew members weren't found until more than 30 years later.
The remains representing all three men were buried as a group in a single casket.
