The District 67 school board voted Tuesday night to hire Ron Safer, a former assistant U.S. attorney. He will look into the resignation of Deer Path Middle School principal John Steinert.
Steinert quit after it became known that he sent sexually charged texts and a lewd photograph to a Lake Forest college student.
