Christopher Dunn faces charges of attempted robbery and battery. He is accused of trying to take the iPhone from another train passenger around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The other passenger resisted, causing Dunn to run off the train when it stopped.
Police say Dunn then ran into a nearby bar where witnesses pointed police to him and he was arrested a short time later.
