Dozens attend hearing in hopes of saving Aurora mail center

Dozens turned out for a public hearing Thursday night on plans to close a mail distribution center in Aurora.

It is one of more than 250 around the country that could be closed. The postal service wants to cut $3 billion from its budget.

Among those asking questions about the proposal... Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner.

He called the facility a major employer for Aurora.

Weisner said if these processing centers are closed, people will see a reduction in service that will never come back.
