Frankfort fire official's driver's license to be suspended

Frankfort Fire Battalion Chief Paul Kelch will have his driver's license suspended at the end of January for having three moving violations within one year.

The violations include leaving the scene of a property damage crash last fall. That incident also led to police finding a breath ignition locking device in the chief's truck disconnected and an open can of beer in the back.

Kelch was required to have the monitoring device because of a DUI charge last year. He was found not guilty but had to agree to using the breath lock system to get a driving permit.
