Arson investigators are trying to determine if an accelerant was used to cause an explosion and fire in Skokie.

The blast severely damaged a vacant two-flat on Kimball Avenue on December 12. One man was injured.

A Skokie police report suggests that an accelerant may have been used. Police told ABC7 on Tuesday that a final report is not yet back to confirm the initial findings.

The building was later torn down.
