The body of Spc. Robert Tauteris Jr., one of four Indiana National guardsmen killed earlier this month in Afghanistan, was returned to northwest Indiana Saturday.

Tauteris' body was flown into the Porter County Airport and was followed by a procession to the funeral home. The funeral service was set for Sunday.

Tauteris is from Hamlet, Ind. He died Jan. 6 when a roadside bomb hit his patrol.

Three other soldiers from the same Valparaiso-based company were also killed, including Spc. Christopher Patterson of Aurora and Spc. Brian Leonhardt of Merrillville.
