Plane makes emergency landing in West Virginia

A maintenance crew is checking out a plane from Chicago that was forced to make an emergency landing in West Virginia.

The American Eagle twin-engine jet landed safely at the Martinsburg airport at 8:30 p.m. Monday night.

The plane was carrying 54 passengers and three crew members. It was en route to Washington DC when a cockpit light came on.

Passengers were placed on buses Tuesday morning to continue their trip to Washington.
