Police seized $4.5 million worth of marijuana at a south suburban Calumet City home.

Officers had been watching the home on Highland Street for months, police said. They stopped a minivan leaving that home on Tuesday. Inside, they allegedly found garbage bags with 69 freezer bags full of cannabis.

On Wednesday, a search of the home turned up 920 more pounds of marijuana, eight handguns, scales and items used to distribute narcotics, police said.

Matthew l. Clark, 37, is charged with possession of cannabis and various traffic violations.
